Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- 400 g potatoes, raw, cut into 2 mm thick slices
- Salt, pepper and nutmeg
- 100 ml milk
- 100 ml cream
- 50 g cheese (Gouda), finely grated
- 30 g butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
For the microwave
Cut the garlic clove lengthwise. Rub the cut side of one clove half into a large, shallow baking dish. Arrange the potato slices in a fan shape in the dish. Do not stack them in multiple layers. Season well with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Crush the garlic halves and add them, if desired. Pour in the milk first, then the cream. The potatoes should not be completely covered with cream and milk. Spread the shaved cheese thinly over the potatoes and top with knobs of butter. Microwave for 14 minutes at 500/650 W. The liquid should then be slightly thickened.
