Crunchy muesli with honey

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 300 g oat flakes, wholegrain
  • 100 g almond flakes
  • 50 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 50 g sunflower seeds
  • 2 tsp cinnamon or vanilla powder
  • 150 g honey, liquid
  • 8 tbsp oil, neutral
  • 75 g raisins, cranberries or other dried fruits

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

makes about 500g muesli

Preheat oven to 175°C. Combine the oats, almond flakes, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, cinnamon/vanilla, honey, and oil in a bowl. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and spread evenly. Roast for approximately 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally to prevent overcooking. Allow to cool completely. Finely dice any dried fruit and mix in. The muesli will keep for approximately two weeks if stored in an airtight container. It tastes delicious with fresh fruit of your choice (e.g., banana) and a mixture of natural yogurt, a little lemon juice, and honey.
