Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 chicken, 1-1.5 kg
  • 1 slice(s) fresh ginger
  • 2 slice(s) onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

It couldn’t be easier: Put it in the pot, heat it, cool it, eat it!

Wash the chicken and place it in a pot. Place 2-3 spoonfuls into the abdominal cavity (as a heat conductor). Add the ginger, onion, and salt. Cover with cold water. Bring to a boil in an uncovered pot. Boil for 30 seconds, remove from the heat, put the lid on, and let it cool. Done! Eat cold. The broth can be used for other purposes. Variation: Drunken Crystal Chicken —————————————- Place the drained chicken in a tightly sealable container, cover completely with dry sherry (fino), and close the container. Refrigerate for 7 days. Remove the chicken and slice thinly. Super delicious! Bottle(s) of sherry and use for cooking.
