Currants in cranberry style

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,000 g currants, red
  • 375 g sugar
  • 125 ml red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 dashes lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Wash the currants, drain them, and remove the stalks. Place them in a saucepan with the sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon juice, and vinegar and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 1/2 hour, stirring frequently. Pour into prepared screw-top jars and let stand upside down for a few minutes.
