Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 50 g minced beef
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- 1 m.-sized tomato(s)
- 1 jar Basmati rice, approx. 125 g
- 1 tsp salt
- pepper
- curry powder
- oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Turkish style
Peel the onion, dice it, and sauté it in a pan with oil. Once the onion is slightly translucent, add 50-75g of ground beef and fry. Peel a tomato, dice it, and sauté it. Season with salt, pepper, and curry powder. Add a jar of basmati rice and 1 1/2 jars of hot water and cook for 30-45 minutes at a low heat. The dish is ready to serve when the rice is tender but still has a slight bite and the water has evaporated.
