Sauce for currywurst

First, finely chop the onions and sauté them in oil. Then add the tomato paste and chopped garlic and fry for a while longer. Deglaze with the fruit juice and add the vinegar. Bring to a boil briefly, then stir in the remaining ingredients. Simmer over low heat for about half an hour (longer if desired). If you don’t like the chopped onions, you can puree the sauce. The sauce tastes especially good when let stand for a while and then reheated.
