Cut the 8 rolls into cubes or alternatively use the pre-cut dumpling bread. Pour the hot milk over half of the diced rolls and let them sit. Toast the other half in a pan. Once the milk has soaked through the rolls, break in the eggs and sift the flour over them. Then knead with a fork until dough forms. Then scatter the toasted bread cubes over this mixture and mix everything together. Now it’s time to form the bread dumplings. This makes 8 large bread dumplings. Let them sit in boiling hot water for about 15 minutes. Goes perfectly with any kind of goulash or the typical Bavarian roast pork.
