Bohemian plum dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 cube of fresh yeast
  • 300 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • n. B. plum(s)
  • n. B. cinnamon sugar
  • n. B. Flour for the dough pieces
  • lots of butter, liquid

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Put some of the flour in a bowl, add salt, and mix. Mix the yeast with the milk and add it. Mix well with the remaining milk. Add the rest of the flour and then the beaten eggs. Knead the dough by hand until it comes away from your fingers and bubbles. Let it rise in a warm place. Dust the dough pieces with flour and wrap a plum in each one. Place in boiling salted water and cook for about 10 minutes. Serve in a bowl, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, and drizzle with plenty of hot butter.
