Danablu – Pears

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 half pears, from the can
  • 125 g cheese, Danablu or Roquefort
  • Processed cheese, a corner
  • some parsley
  • some caraway
  • some cayenne pepper
  • some sherry or brandy (if you like!)
  • 4 slices of toast
  • leaf lettuce

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Drain the compote pears. Place the blue cheese and cream cheese on a wooden board, break them up with a fork, and mix lightly. Stir in some chopped parsley, ground caraway, a very small amount of cayenne pepper, and, if desired, sherry or brandy. Toast the bread, place it on a baking sheet, arrange the pears on top, and cover with the cheese mixture. Bake in the oven at 225°C (425°F) for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper and serve with lettuce leaves.
