Delicious vanilla porridge

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 ml milk, 1.5%
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 60 g oat flakes, fine, approx. 5 – 6 tablespoons, depending on how you want the consistency, maybe a little more
  • 1 tsp honey, more or less to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Split open the vanilla pod and scrape out the seeds. Bring both to a boil with the milk, then remove the vanilla pod, add the oats, and cook briefly. Stir in the honey. Let everything steep for a few more minutes. You can add nuts, almonds, poppy seeds, or fruit, depending on your taste. I usually add flaked almonds and strawberries, but the sky’s the limit.
