Delicious Wholemeal Rolls

The perfect delicious wholemeal rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Whole wheat flour
  • 130 ml Buttermilk
  • 130 ml Water
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 15 g Yeast
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Sunflower seeds
  1. Make a yeast dough from the ingredients above, heat the water and buttermilk for it. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes. Then knead once and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  1. Shape the dough into approx. 8 rolls, turn in sunflower seeds (need to be pressed a little hard), place on a baking sheet with baking paper, cover with a tea towel, let rise again for approx. 45 minutes
  1. Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
