Dessert: Rhubarb Compote

The perfect dessert: rhubarb compote recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Fresh rhubarb
  • 4 tbsp Water
  • 0,5 Tonka bean
  • 0,5 Pressed lime
  • 2 tsp Stevia
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  1. Wash the rhubarb and cut into strips. Bring to the boil with the water. Grate the tonka bean, add stevia and sugar to sweeten it. Add lime juice. Let it cook until the rhubarb is soft to the desired consistency.
  2. With me it shouldn’t have any more pieces, because we wanted it as a side dish to an almond pudding because of the few sticks left. If it should be there as the only dessert, you can still see the slices, then it should not completely disintegrate.
