- 2 kg potatoes
- 2 onions
- Salt
- pepper
- 1 egg(s)
- 4 tbsp oil for frying

Peel the raw potatoes, grate them, and squeeze them dry. Peel and dice the onions. Mix the salt, pepper, egg, and onions into the potato batter. Heat the oil in a large pan or cast-iron roasting pan. Pour in the potato mixture, turning and breaking them up constantly to ensure plenty of crispy crusts form. Serve with applesauce and salad.
