Dill – Mushrooms

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g mushrooms, white, fresh
  • 200 ml cream or Cremefine or other cream substitute
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tsp oil or butter
  • Dill, fresh or frozen
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

as a side dish and/or sauce to fish, meat, vegetables, pasta

Clean the mushrooms, remove the ends of the stumps, and thinly slice the mushrooms. Finely dice the onion. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil or butter (depending on your taste) in a pan and sauté the diced onion until translucent, then add the mushrooms and fry. When the mushrooms are cooked, add the cream (or cream substitute), bring to a boil, and let it reduce for a few minutes. Add chopped dill, fresh or frozen, to taste, and season with salt and pepper. You can use this side dish as a sauce for pasta, as a side dish for schnitzel, fried fish, potatoes, rice, or simply as a standalone meal with bread. If you prefer something lower in fat, you can also use half cream substitute and half (low-fat) milk.
