Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 20 g yeast
  • 300 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 500 g flour
  • 70 g margarine, liquid
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 ml sour cream
  • 1 bunch chives, in rolls
  • salt and pepper
  • Herbs, dried as desired
  • onion(s)
  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • Caraway seeds
  • margarine

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Swabian specialty. 3 topping suggestions

Dissolve the yeast in the milk. Combine all ingredients and knead thoroughly. Let rise at room temperature for 30-60 minutes, then roll out on a baking sheet. Chive topping for 1 baking sheet: Mix together the sour cream, salt, pepper, and herbs and spread on the yeast dough. For an onion topping, slice 2-3 onions and fry them in 2 tablespoons of margarine. Mix with the sour cream, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper and spread on the yeast dough. For a bacon topping, mix the bacon with the sour cream, 1 diced onion, pepper, and caraway seeds and spread on the yeast dough. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
