Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g rice (long grain rice)
- Water (salt water)
- 4 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 bell peppers, red and yellow
- 500 g tomatoes, chopped from the can
- 4 tbsp oil
- salt and pepper

Croatian rice side dish with grilled meat
Cook the rice in 500 ml of salted water for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the onions, garlic, and bell peppers, and sauté them in a little oil. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook with the lid on for about 15 minutes. Stir in the cooked rice and season with salt and pepper.
