quickly prepared, just as quickly eaten
Marinate the meat about 3 hours before you start. Cut the meat into thin strips and mix well with the soy sauce and sugar, then refrigerate (the meat will take on a dark color and look almost like beef). Peel the carrot. If it’s too thick, halve it and then slice it thinly. Remove the outer leaves and stem from the leek, then slice it into not-too-thin rings and rinse thoroughly in a sieve. Wash both types of bell pepper, remove the seeds, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Cut the Chinese cabbage into bite-sized pieces. Peel the onion, halve it, and slice it into half rings. Bring a large pot of water to a boil with a little salt. Cook the mie noodles, noodles of your choice, or rice according to the package instructions. Place a pan with a little oil on the stove and add the marinated meat. Sear over high heat, then reduce the heat. Heat a little oil in a wok or large skillet and add the carrot slices, frying for about 5 minutes. Then add the bell pepper pieces and onion rings, and after about 2 minutes, add the leek and cabbage. Fry everything for about 5 minutes. Then add the cooked meat. Next, add the 50 ml of soy sauce and season with spices such as salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, or chili powder. Finally, add the sprouts; they should only cook briefly. Place the mie noodles, regular noodles, or rice on a plate and place the stir-fry dish in the middle on top. Tip: You can also add the noodles directly to the pan. You can, of course, use other vegetables, but the color combination with the vegetables mentioned above is very beautiful.
