  • 0,5 tsp Salt

  • 350 g Melted butter or margarine
  • Oil for frying

  • Chocolate icing of your choice

  1. Mix the dry yeast together with 2 teaspoons of the sugar and the water and let stand for about 5 minutes.
  2. Mix the lukewarm milk, melted butter or margarine, sugar, salt, egg and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Add the yeast water. Now gradually work in the flour until a soft and no longer sticky dough is formed. Cover and let rest for about 30 minutes.
  3. Roll out the dough about 2 cm thick on a lightly floured work surface and cut out circles with a glass. Use an apple cutter to cut out small circles in the center of the donuts.
  4. Knead the leftover dough together again and continue as described above until the dough is used up. Now place the rings on 2 baking sheets lined with cloths and let them rest for another 30 minutes until they have visibly enlarged.
  5. Now heat the oil in a pan and bake the donuts for 2 minutes on each side. Drain.
  6. Now dust the donuts with powdered sugar or decorate with a chocolate icing and crumble as well as chopped roasted almonds or hazelnuts as you wish.
