Dough for the cookie press

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 200 g sugar
  • 400 g flour, 405
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 lemon(s), zest, grated
  • 1 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

It works great for me!

Mix the softened butter with the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, lemon zest, and eggs. Mix the baking powder with the flour, add it, and knead everything into a dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes. Pour the dough into a cookie press and press the “blanks” onto a cold, ungreased baking sheet. Decorate as desired (currants, nuts, etc.), and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 10-15 minutes. One more tip: After each baking session, the baking sheet must be washed and allowed to cool (this happens quickly). Then the cookie press will work, too!
