Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 4 egg yolks
- 40 g sugar
- some vanilla sugar
- 4 egg whites
- 100 g sugar
- 110 g flour
- 40 g cornstarch
- powdered sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
for Malakoff cake or just to eat
Whisk the egg yolks with 40g of granulated sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Whisk the egg whites with 100g of granulated sugar until fluffy, fold into the yolk mixture, and stir in the flour sifted with cornstarch. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a smooth (No. 8) nozzle and pipe evenly sized ladyfingers onto a sheet of baking paper. Sprinkle with sifted icing sugar and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10 minutes.
