- 40 g tzatziki

- 40 g barbecue sauce
- 4 slice(s) tomato(s), fresh, thinly sliced
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Preheat the oven to 200°C (top heat). Cut open the hamburger buns and place them cut-side up on an oven rack. Brush the cut-side of the hamburger buns with a little margarine. Then place the buns on the top rack of the oven. Stand directly in front of the oven and watch the hamburger buns. They can turn black very quickly! I therefore keep an eye on them and leave them in the oven for a maximum of one minute. When the buns are the desired brownness, remove them from the oven and let them cool on the oven rack. The oven can now be turned off. Meanwhile, place a frying pan on the stovetop and heat to medium-high (I use level 7.5 out of 10). Add the remaining margarine to the pan. Drain the tuna thoroughly, then transfer it to a suitable mixing bowl and mash it finely with a fork. Add the egg yolks and breadcrumbs to the tuna in the mixing bowl and mix vigorously until you have a crumbly but consistent tuna mixture. This tuna mixture is enough for 2 hamburger patties. Add half of the tuna mixture to the pan and quickly shape into patties the size of a hamburger bun using a fork or similar tool. Drizzle the patties with a few drops of citric acid and then sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper. Fry the patties for about 5-8 minutes on one side. Turn them over very carefully, as the hamburger patties can easily break apart at this stage. After turning, place a slice of Cheddar cheese on the cooked side of the patties and cook for another 5 minutes. During this time, slice the onion into rings. Place the hamburger bun halves on plates. Spread the top halves of the buns with 20g of tzatziki each, then top with a few onion rings and three cucumber slices. Spread 20g of barbecue sauce on each of the bottom bun halves and then place two tomato slices on top. Carefully lift the hamburger patties from the pan and place them on the bottom halves of the hamburger buns. Then place the top halves of the buns on top of the hamburger patties.
