Drinks: Pomegranate Liqueur

- 6 Pomegranates
- 400 g Tea candies
- 0,5 Tl Vanilla concentrate
- 3 Fl. Double grain
- Roll out the washed pomegranates firmly on the work surface so that you can hear a slight crack. This makes it easier for the kernels to be removed from the fruit. Take out with a spoon and place in an appropriately large container.
- Add the candy and vanilla and fill up with the grain. Close the bottle tightly and leave in a dark place for about 2 months. Then strain, I always use a filter bag, and pour into smaller bottles. I made it for the first time this year and I can’t yet say how delicious the liqueur will be. But write it in 2 months. These pomegranates are only harvested until the end of November, hence the recipe. And how many people this recipe is ultimately for – that is relative, how much everyone drinks.
- Tip 3: I use Spanish untreated pomegranates. They taste much better than the Turkish treated pomegranates.
- This liquor tastes amazing. Due to the tart taste of the pomegranate, it is not so very sweet.
