Drinks: Pomegranate Liqueur

  • 6 Pomegranates
  • 400 g Tea candies
  • 0,5 Tl Vanilla concentrate
  • 3 Fl. Double grain
  1. Roll out the washed pomegranates firmly on the work surface so that you can hear a slight crack. This makes it easier for the kernels to be removed from the fruit. Take out with a spoon and place in an appropriately large container.
  2. Add the candy and vanilla and fill up with the grain. Close the bottle tightly and leave in a dark place for about 2 months. Then strain, I always use a filter bag, and pour into smaller bottles. I made it for the first time this year and I can’t yet say how delicious the liqueur will be. But write it in 2 months. These pomegranates are only harvested until the end of November, hence the recipe. And how many people this recipe is ultimately for – that is relative, how much everyone drinks.
  3. Tip 3: I use Spanish untreated pomegranates. They taste much better than the Turkish treated pomegranates.
  4. This liquor tastes amazing. Due to the tart taste of the pomegranate, it is not so very sweet.
