Dumplings: Spinach Dumplings

The perfect dumplings: spinach dumplings recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 piece Franconian dumplings *
  • 50 g Gruyere cheese
  • 250 g Spinach leaves TK
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon Cream 10% fat
  • 0,5 teaspoon Black pepper from the mill
  • 0,5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg, grated
  • 1 piece Egg from the chicken yard next door
  1. Cut the dumplings into small pieces and puree with the egg.
  2. Peel the onion and sauté together with the spinach in the olive oil. Season with pepper, salt and nutmeg. Add the cream and reduce the liquid.
  3. Now mix the spinach with the shredded dumplings and the grated cheese and season to taste again.
  4. Fill this dough into a silicone muffin pan and bake at 190 degrees under / top heat for about 35 minutes, until the “tartlets” begin to turn brown.
