Dumplings with bacon

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 40 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 400 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 125 ml milk
  • 300 g bacon, streaky

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cream the butter until fluffy, add the eggs and salt. Mix the baking powder with the flour, sift, and stir into the dough alternately with the milk (this is easiest with a mixer and dough hook). Scoop out dumplings with a tablespoon and cook them in lightly salted, boiling water for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, dice the bacon and fry until crispy. We serve it with plum compote.
