Dune magic

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 jar Prosecco
  • 1 kumquat(s), (alternatively pieces of an untreated orange)
  • n. B. Liqueur, (sea buckthorn liqueur)
  • some ice (cubed or crushed ice)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

refreshing summer aperitif, but also for the cold season

Add ice cubes (or crushed ice) to a glass of Prosecco. Quarter or slice the kumquats, press them over the glass, and pour them into the glass with the Prosecco. Add 2-4 cl of sea buckthorn liqueur (amount to taste). Dune Magic is a nice change from the popular Aperol Spritz or Hugo. Sea buckthorn is also called the “lemon of the north.” Due to its high vitamin C content, it even surpasses citrus fruits. It grows predominantly on the islands of Rügen and Hiddensee. There, numerous sea buckthorn specialties, such as sea buckthorn liqueur, are produced and sold from it. You can either buy ready-made sea buckthorn liqueur (e.g., Andalö Original) or make it yourself. The recipe can be found in the Chefkoch.de database. I dedicate this recipe to all the members of “Hinter der Tür” (Behind the Door) who are always there to help and advise me – a heartfelt “thank you” for that!
