Dutch Stew

The perfect dutch stew recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 Mettenden / Smoking
  • 500 g Carrots
  • 750 g Potatoes
  • 500 g Onions
  • 1 tbsp Fat
  • 0,25 liter Vegetable broth
  • 0,25 liter Salt
  • Chopped parsley
  1. Wash the meatballs and cut into slices and spread on the bottom of the saucepan.
  2. Peel the carrots, potatoes and onions, cut everything into slices (I use a slicer for this) and distribute them mixed between the meatballs. Add the fat, sprinkle with salt and parsley, pour in the stock, bring to the boil, then simmer for 20-25 minutes and finish cooking for 5-10 minutes in the residual heat. If necessary, season to taste and test the potato slices to see if they are done, e.g. with a fork.
