Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 375 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 200 g butter
  • 8 apples (Boskop apples)
  • some sugar
  • 40 g raisins
  • 250 ml sour cream
  • 4 eggs, of which the egg whites
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 60 g almonds, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Prepare a dough from the ingredients (flour, eggs, sugar, butter). Grease a springform pan, place the rolled-out dough on the bottom and sides of the pan. Peel the apples, cut them into thin slices, and place them on top of the dough along with the sugar and raisins. Bake in the oven at 200°C for 30 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the icing. Carefully mix the sour cream with the stiffly beaten egg whites, sugar, cinnamon, and almonds and pour over the half-baked cake. Return the cake to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.
