Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 375 g flour
  • ½ pack of lemon peel, grated or Citroback
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Cream the butter until fluffy, add the sugar and vanilla sugar, then beat in the eggs one at a time. Stir in the Citroback or lemon zest, sifted flour, baking powder, and milk. Divide the batter between three well-greased and breadcrumb-coated baking dishes (e.g., lamb, rabbit, hen, or rooster). Only fill the dishes no more than 2/3 full! Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (180°C fan-assisted oven) for about 40 minutes. After baking, carefully remove the figures from the dish and let them cool on a wire rack. Dust generously with powdered sugar.
