Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g wheat flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 125 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 1 m.-sized egg white
  • 50 ml rapeseed oil
  • 50 ml milk
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 medium egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • e.g. sugar sprinkles, colorful or decorative confetti

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

makes 12 pieces

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat, fan oven: 160°C). Line two baking sheets with paper. In a bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. Add all other ingredients and knead into a smooth dough. If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour. Divide the dough in half and cut each half into 6 equal pieces. Shape the pieces into small rolls (approx. 20 cm long). Flatten the rolls slightly and place them in circles on the baking sheets. Mix the egg yolk with milk and brush the circles with it. Decorate with decorative confetti or colored sprinkles and bake in the preheated oven for approx. 20 minutes. Place on a wire rack and let cool. The nests make great egg cups. They can also be frozen.
