Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g flour (white)
- 200 g cornstarch
- 1 g powdered sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 300 g butter (room temperature)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder, highly defatted; to taste
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
In a mixing bowl fitted with a dough hook, mix the butter with the sifted powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt. Gradually add the sifted flour and cornstarch, then knead in the dough until a firm ball forms. Refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes. Then, using your hands, form balls about 2 cm in size and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Lightly press the balls in with a fork. Caution: the cookies will expand during baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 12 minutes (subsequent baking sheets for about 10 minutes). Let the finished cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack, as they are very fragile immediately after baking. If desired, cocoa powder can be kneaded into one half of the raw dough.
