Egg Spread with Horseradish
The perfect egg spread with horseradish recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 6 Eggs
- 50 g Mixed with bacon, sliced
- 1 medium size Onion
- 1 tbsp Horseradish from the jar
- 60 g Quark
- 90 g Creme fraiche Cheese
- 0,5 tsp Caraway seed
- Salt pepper
- 1 tbsp Cream
- Boil eggs hard and chop finely. Cut the bacon very small. Peel the onion and cut into very small cubes. Mortar caraway seeds.
- Fry the bacon and onion in 1 teaspoon oil in a pan. Let cool down.
- Then mix the quark, crème fraîche and horseradish together. Stir in chopped eggs until the mixture turns yellow. Then fold in the bacon, onion and caraway seeds. Season to taste with salt and pepper and, if necessary, stir with a little cream until creamy.
- The spread tastes delicious on fresh crusty bread as well as wholemeal bread. It is also suitable as an accompaniment to aspic or matjes.
