Egg with ham and mushrooms

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 50 g ham, raw
  • ½ onion(s), small
  • 30 g mushrooms or chanterelles
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp herbs, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly paprika powder
  • e.g. butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

suitable for egg coddlers

Remove the fat from the ham and dice finely. Peel and finely dice the onion. Trim and roughly chop the mushrooms. Melt a little butter. Sauté the onion until translucent, then add the ham. Then add the mushrooms and sauté briefly. Season with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and a little paprika, if desired. Grease two egg coddlers or ovenproof dishes and pour in the mixture. Cover the egg coddlers with the lid and cover the dishes with aluminum foil. Let it set in a pot of almost boiling water for about 30 minutes.
