Eggs Hidden in Puff Pastry
The perfect eggs hidden in puff pastry recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 10 piece Hard-Boiled eggs
- 2 piece Puff pastry roll
- 300 g Chopped onion
- 2 piece Whisked eggs
- 300 g Smoked ham
- Boil and peel eggs. Cut the fresh onion into thin strips. Unpack the puff pastry and cut into 8 squares. Heat 1 liter of oil in a large pan. Wrap boiled eggs in smoked ham. Place onion on a square of puff pastry, wrap egg on onion and wrap in puff pastry. Beat 2 eggs in a bowl, roll in the hidden eggs and fry in hot oil for about 10 minutes on each side. Beware, when you have all of them in the hot oil, do less heat that they don’t burn. Then pour out the excess oil in a bowl lined with kitchen roll. Serve with green sauce (Aldi) or with mustard. A salad is also possible. They also taste very good cold. Ideal to take with you in the swimming pool or anywhere else.
