Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Whiskey vegetables: Quarter the peppers, remove the seeds, and cut into large pieces. Cut the onions into thick rings. Fry them in a wok with olive oil, then sauté for 15 minutes. Then sprinkle with the brown sugar and deglaze with plenty of whiskey. Caution: Don’t inhale too deeply, even if it smells delicious—it’s a terrible nose-sucking sensation! Then reduce the liquid by half. The vegetables can still retain their liquid, then the burger will be nice and juicy. Patties: The right patty is a matter of philosophy: I always add small cubes of bread to the ground beef. These make the patty fluffy and absorb the good liquid. Cut the bread into cubes and mix well with the ground beef, kneading thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper. Form 4 patties from the mixture. Sear them, only once on each side, then let them rest in aluminum foil and keep warm. The meat can still be pink on the inside. Cheddar Chili Sauce: First, pour the condensed milk into a heatproof bowl, then crumble in the processed cheese in small pieces and add the chipotle chili. Cut the pepperoni into thin strips and add them as well. Just before building the burgers, gently heat the sauce in the microwave at 600W. Stir regularly to prevent the cheese from burning on the outside. However, the sauce should be very hot so that it is nicely and evenly distributed. Burger construction: The order determines the flavor! Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, then the warm whiskey-dried vegetables, and then the meat. Place the tomato on top. Now pour plenty of cheese sauce over it. Crumble the nacho chips on top for a great crunch. Put the lid on and insert a skewer through.
