Elderberry Curd Cream with Strawberries
The perfect elderberry curd cream with strawberries recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Strawberries
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Pistachios
- 250 g Lowfat quark
- 5 tbsp Elderflower syrup
- Grated zest and juice of 1 organic lime
- 400 g Creme fraiche Cheese
- Wash, clean and chop the strawberries. Mix with 2 tablespoons of sugar and leave to steep for about 1 hour in a cool place. Chop the pistachios very finely.
- Mix the quark with the syrup, lime zest and juice until smooth. Beat the creme fraiche and 1 tbsp sugar in a tall mixing bowl with the whisk of the hand mixer for 2-3 minutes. Lift under the curd. Spread the cream in bowls. Spread the strawberries on top and sprinkle with pistachios. Serve garnished with a slice of lime each time.
