Elisen Gingerbread; Recipe from My Grandma
The perfect elisen gingerbread; recipe from my grandma recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
for the cast:
- 300 g Sugar
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 500 g Ground almonds or nuts
- 50 g Orange peel
- 50 g Citronat (Succade)
- 1 tsp Ground carnations
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 Msp Nutmeg
- 1 pinch Pepper
- Zest of two lemons and the juice of half a lemon
- 200 g Powdered sugar
- 30 g Cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp Hot milk
- 20 g Liquid coconut fat
- Mix the sugar and eggs in the food processor until frothy. Mix in the remaining ingredients.
- Spread the mixture on wafers (diameter approx. 7 cm). Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for approx. 15 – 20 minutes at 180 degrees top / bottom heat.
- Mix the ingredients for the topping and brush the gingerbread with them.
