Endive salad with white dressing

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ head of endive lettuce
  • 2 ½ tbsp herb vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • 1 cup sour cream or yogurt
  • 1 cup cream, alternatively some oil
  • 1 onion(s), red, chopped
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp brown sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Cut the endive, stem removed, into approximately 5 mm wide strips and rinse in lukewarm water (let it stand to release the bitterness). For the dressing, mix the vinegar with the spices, add the onion, then add the sour cream and cream or a little oil and blend. Season to taste and toss with the drained lettuce strips.
