Eve’s Cherry Cake
The perfect eve’s cherry cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
dough
- 150 g Soft butter
- 120 g Sugar
- 1 Bourbon vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 150 g Flour
- 0,5 packet Tartar baking powder
Covering
- 300 g Morello cherries drained
The rest
- 1 tsp Butter for churning out the mold
- 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs for sprinkling
- 1 tbsp Powdered sugar for garnish
- Open a glass of morello cherries, pour into a sieve and let drain for a good 2 hours.
- Mix the butter, sugar and salt until frothy. Gradually add the eggs. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180 ° C (top / bottom heat).
- Now stir in the flour and baking powder. The dough should fall from the spoon with difficulty!
- Place the dough in a springform pan (22 cm) lined with breadcrumbs.
- Now distribute 300 grams of the drained morello cherries on the dough and put them in the oven!
- Baking time approx. 45 – 50 minutes. After baking, sprinkle with the powdered sugar. Bon appetit☺
