Eve’s Cherry Cake

  • 150 g Soft butter
  • 120 g Sugar
  • 1 Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 150 g Flour
  • 0,5 packet Tartar baking powder

Covering

  • 300 g Morello cherries drained

The rest

  • 1 tsp Butter for churning out the mold
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs for sprinkling
  • 1 tbsp Powdered sugar for garnish
  1. Open a glass of morello cherries, pour into a sieve and let drain for a good 2 hours.
  2. Mix the butter, sugar and salt until frothy. Gradually add the eggs. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180 ° C (top / bottom heat).
  3. Now stir in the flour and baking powder. The dough should fall from the spoon with difficulty!
  4. Place the dough in a springform pan (22 cm) lined with breadcrumbs.
  5. Now distribute 300 grams of the drained morello cherries on the dough and put them in the oven!
  6. Baking time approx. 45 – 50 minutes. After baking, sprinkle with the powdered sugar. Bon appetit☺
