Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g minced beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 romaine lettuce
  • ½ ripe mango(s) (150 g)
  • 150 g tomatoes (2 – 3 pieces)
  • 2 onions
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ tbsp tomato ketchup
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 slices of breakfast bacon
  • 2 burger buns

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Form the ground meat into 2 flat patties. Place the patties on an oiled plate, drizzle with 1 teaspoon of oil each, and freeze for 10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan-assisted oven). In the meantime, trim the romaine lettuce. Peel the mango, remove the stone, and slice. Slice the tomatoes. Slice the onion into rings. Mix the mayonnaise and ketchup together. Season with salt and pepper. Fry the bacon and onions in a hot pan in 1 tablespoon of oil until crispy, drain on kitchen paper, and keep warm in the oven. Bake the burger buns in the oven for 5 minutes. Heat ½ tablespoon of oil in the bacon fat in the pan. Fry the patties over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper. Spread the burger buns with the mayo-ketchup mixture. Top with romaine lettuce, patties, mango, tomatoes, bacon, and onions, and place the lids on top.
