Minced meat sauce

This dish was born out of a mishap while preparing meatballs. When frying, they didn’t stick and fell apart into lots of individual pieces. To save the meal, they were simply lengthened with vegetables, hence the name. Halve the onions, slice them into rings, and sauté until translucent. Cut the bell peppers into medium-sized cubes, add them, and sauté for a while, adding a little salt and water if desired. Add the diced ham and finely chopped tomatoes. Mix the minced meat with salt and pepper, a little mustard, and tomato paste, fry separately, and then add to the vegetables. Cut the gherkins into thin slices and cook for a few minutes with a little gherkin juice. Season to taste with salt, pepper, marjoram, tomato paste, and mustard. Boiled potatoes are recommended.
