Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1,200 g pork (neck, rump)
  • 4 medium-sized onions, cut into very fine slices
  • 1 pack of instant gravy (250 ml)
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • e.g. mustard
  • e.g. paprika powder
  • n. B. Sauce thickener, dark

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 15 minutes

a recipe for the crockpot (slow cooker)

Place the onion slices in a 3.5 L crockpot and add a little water. Rinse the roast, drain, and rub with salt and pepper. Place on top of the onions. Prepare the gravy according to the package instructions and pour it evenly over the meat. Cover and simmer on high for 4-5 hours. Baste the meat with the gravy two or three times during cooking. The gravy can also be seasoned with a little mustard or paprika. If desired, you can thicken the gravy after cooking with a little dark gravy thickener. Serve with spaetzle and a green salad.
