Fake stuffed potatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 150 g bacon cubes
  • 2 rolls
  • e.g. milk
  • e.g. butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Peel and chop the potatoes, and boil in plenty of salted water. Fry the bacon cubes until crispy and set aside. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut the rolls open and bake folded. Drain the cooked potatoes and mash them. Add a splash of milk and a little butter, if desired. Crush the garlic clove and add it to the mashed potatoes with 3/4 of the grated cheese. Season everything with pepper. Remove the baked rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly. Remove the soft dough from the rolls or flatten them slightly. Fill the rolls with the mashed potato and cheese mixture, sprinkle the rest of the grated cheese on top, and scatter the fried bacon cubes on top. Finally, place the roll halves in the oven and bake for 5-10 minutes at 180°C. Serve with sour cream and spring onions.
