Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Ultimate speed, versatile toppings and incredibly delicious!
The thin sheets of yufka dough are pulled apart, laid out individually on a surface, and then brushed with cold water. The sheets are then placed, slightly overlapping, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or on pizza trays. (Caution: the wet sheets must be placed on the tray quickly, otherwise they will become too soft and tear!). The dough is then thinly spread with crème fraîche. Finally, spread the thinly sliced Muenster cheese over the dough. The tarte flambée is then placed in a very hot oven (250°C) and is ready in no time (5-10 minutes). Variations: If desired, you can use crème fraîche with herbs and/or additionally scatter bacon cubes and/or wafer-thin onion rings over the dough. Depending on the type of cheese used, you can sprinkle the tarte flambée with salt and freshly ground pepper before serving. A fresh salad goes best with this dish.
