Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 can olives, black
- 2 large beefsteak tomatoes
- 1 half cucumber(s)
- 1 large bell pepper(s), green
- 1 half onion(s)
- 100 g sheep’s cheese
- 1 tsp salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small iceberg lettuce

Horiatiki salata (Greek)
Wash the tomatoes, cucumber, and bell pepper. Halve the tomatoes, remove the stems, and dice the flesh. Peel the cucumber, halve them, and cut into 1 cm thick slices. Halve the bell pepper. Remove the white inner membranes and seeds, and slice the bell pepper into strips. Peel the onion, halve it, and slice it into thin rings. Place the tomatoes, bell pepper strips, cucumber slices, and onion in a large bowl with the olives. Wash and halve the iceberg lettuce. Mix everything well with the iceberg lettuce. Cut the feta cheese into small cubes. In a small bowl, mix the salt and pepper with the vinegar. Add the oil, mix everything into a marinade, and pour over the vegetables. Gently toss the salad and finally add the feta cheese. Serve with white bread or pita bread.
