Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 250g spaghetti
  • Salt
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 4 tbsp Ajvar (mild or hot to taste)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 pinches of sugar
  • olive oil
  • e.g. Parmesan
  • possibly paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Add salt to the pasta water and cook the pasta according to the instructions (some pasta varieties only take 5 minutes to cook). Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a pan and briefly sauté the onions until translucent. Once translucent, add the ajvar, sour cream, and sugar. You can also add a little paprika if you like. If the ajvar is spicy, you can also add a little ketchup to soften it a bit. Mix everything together, drain the pasta, and toss it in the sauce. Alternatively, you can pour the sauce over the pasta on the plate. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
