Fennel with bacon

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 fennel bulb(s)
  • 1 pack of bacon cubes
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • Fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

First, add some oil to a pan. I prefer liquid Rama or something similar. Once it’s hot, add the bacon cubes. While the cubes are frying, wash the fennel, split it in half, and cut it into small strips. Depending on how crispy you want the bacon, add the fennel and continue frying. I usually leave it in the pan for about 7-10 minutes, until the fennel is lightly browned and translucent. Just before the end, add the garlic, a little salt, and pepper. Season to taste, and you’re done. Tastes great with a baked potato or fish, but also great as a small meal.
