  • 4 slices of ham, 70 g each
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 2 tbsp dry sherry
  • 2 tbsp oil (olive oil)
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 50 g butter
  • 60 ml dry white wine
  • Salt
  • Pepper, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Place the ham slices on a work surface. Halve the garlic clove and use it to vigorously rub one of the skins. Mix the sherry with the oil. Place 2 ham slices in a bowl, brush with a little marinade, place the other 2 slices on top and brush with the remaining marinade. Seal the bowl with aluminum foil and let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour. Halve the tomatoes and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Heat the butter in a pan. Remove the ham slices from the marinade, pat dry with a paper towel if necessary, and fry in the hot butter for 1 minute on each side. Then place in two preheated serving dishes. Brown the tomato halves cut-side down in the remaining fat and add to the ham slices. Pour the wine into the pan and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Then pour over the ham slices and serve. Serve with garlic baguette.
