Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g chicken breast
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • some oil for frying
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 5 tbsp apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp peppercorns, colored
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 stalk of lemongrass
  • 4 bay leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Wash the chicken breast thoroughly and cut into bite-sized pieces. Make a marinade with soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper, mixed peppercorns, crushed garlic clove, sliced ​​lemongrass, and bay leaves. Mix the meat with the marinade and let it stand for at least 30 minutes. Finely chop the onion and sauté it in oil with the second crushed garlic clove until translucent. Then add the chicken breast and fry briefly. Pour the marinade into the pan and simmer for about 5 minutes. Serve the chicken adobo with basmati rice.
