Filled baguettes with merguez and cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 baguettes, each approx. 20 cm
  • 200g merguez
  • 100 g bell pepper(s), red
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 egg(s), size M, whisked
  • 100 g Parmesan, freshly grated
  • some Pul Biber
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Fry the sausage in a pan and let it cool slightly. Finely chop the bell pepper and spring onions. Mix with grated cheese and egg. Season with Pul Biber, salt, and pepper. Cut the sausage into approximately 1 cm wide slices and stir into the mixture. Cut the baguettes almost in half lengthwise and carefully open them slightly. Using a knife and a spoon, scoop out the crumb a little. Pour in the sausage mixture and bake the baguettes in the oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
