Fillet casserole with spaetzle

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g pork fillet(s)
  • 250 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 3 onions
  • 200 g processed cheese with herbs
  • 1 cup crème fraîche with herbs
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 250 g spaetzle
  • Cheese, grated
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the fillet into strips and fry lightly, reserving the stock. Slice the mushrooms and dice the onions, and fry them as well. Reserving the stock. Cook the spaetzle and then drain well. Butter a casserole dish. Layer the ingredients as follows: spaetzle, meat, mushrooms, onions, salt, and pepper. Finally, sprinkle with cheese. Mix the stock, processed cheese, crème fraîche, and cream and pour over the casserole. Bake at 200°C for approximately 30-45 minutes.
